Fermanagh District Council – Survive and Thrive
Fermanagh District Council in partnership with Omagh District Council have received funding from the LED Competitiveness Programme under the European Regional Development Fund to implement a Business Survival And Growth  project in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council areas.
The Survive & Thrive Programme works throughout the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council areas seeking businesses that require support to survive and grow and put appropriate support in place to enable this survival and growth.  Business reviews are completed for each business by the Project Coordinator who develops an Action Plan or signposts to an existing provision.

Fermanagh District Council – Grow and Prosper
Grow and Prosper is an innovative Business Growth Programme to assist new and existing businesses in the Fermanagh District Council areas.
Delivered through Fermanagh District Council, this programme has the aim of helping local businesses to create new jobs, build management capacity and increase sales.  This project is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.

Fermanagh Hour

The Fermanagh Business Twitter network #FermanaghHour (@Fermanagh_Hour) has been active since 3rd December 2014.  #FermanaghHour was created to give local businesses an opportunity to grow their social media presence. Not only does it businesses an opportunity to increase website traffic and generate new sales leads, but it will also give them exposure to new connections further afield, and a fantastic support network to help them with growing their business.
#FermanaghHour take place weekly on Twitter every Tuesday night from 9-10pm. The Investors in People standard is a business improvement tool designed to help employers improve performance by linking people, development and skills acquisition to the specific aims and objectives of their businesses, to assess and improve the performance of their employees. Fermanagh District Council are supporting a Fermanagh Investors in People Group Scheme which provides businesses in Fermanagh the opportunity to avail of Investors in People at a fraction of the cost.

The Skills Solutions Service exists to help employers understand and access the Department’s training provision. Offers a single point of contact for companies wanting to access information on what is available and understand how different programmes could help their business. InterTradeIreland All-Island Innovation Programme
All-Island Innovation Programme aims to promote and encourage innovation across the island. A series of free innovation lectures, seminars and masterclasses are held throughout the year to share international best practice in areas of innovation.
The events, which take place in Belfast, Dublin, Galway and Cork each year, are attended by over 1,000 business leaders, policy makers, students and academics from across the island.

Fermanagh Enterprise
Fermanagh Local Enterprise Agency provides workspace and support services for small and medium sized businesses.  They can offer advice and information on the local business sector.

Enniskillen Training and Mentoring Programme
This scheme aims to rejuvenate and regenerate the centre of Enniskillen, as well as facilitate the growth of the retail and hospitality businesses. This will be achieved by providing the businesses with audits, mentoring specifically for retail and hospitality businesses, accredited training, mystery shopper visits and group seminars.

South West College
South West College is an award winning college that pledges to provide quality education and training to meet the learning needs of the community, the individual, schools and industry, thereby contributing to the educational and economic development of Fermanagh.  Economic Development is encouraged by the Business Unit, aiming to provide support to new and existing businesses in the form of mentoring, collaboration, consultancy and focused relevant training.

YES Programme
The Youth Employment Scheme (YES) can provide businesses with a low cost recruitment option, giving them the opportunity to take on new staff through work placements or on subsidised wages for a period of up to two years. 

The YES Skills Development Programme allows businesses to recruit 18-24 year olds on a 26 week work placement, which comes at no financial cost to the company. The participant will also avail of training during this period to enhance his work skills.

Enhanced Employer Subsidy, allows businesses to employ a young person for 12 months and claim back £5,000 over the course of the yearlong scheme. There will also be an additional £750 provided to cover costs of work relevant training during this time.

First Start programme – businesses can employ an eligible person for a minimum of 30 hours per week for a 26 week period, and can claim back up to £155 per week.

World Host –Train your front-line staff to deliver a great customer experience that will leave your customers raring to return.  A specially-tailored version of this programme for retailers is also available.  WorldHost Principles of Customer Service programme will give your staff the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service that will give your business a great reputation. In an increasingly competitive business environment, you need to work even harder to retain customers and win new ones.

The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program is a revolutionary new online learning program designed to inspire and engage participants in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset and the unlimited opportunities it can provide. The overall objective is to empower learners through entrepreneurial thinking and immerse them in entrepreneurial experiences that will enable them to develop entrepreneurial skills. South West College is the only centre for The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program in the country.

Idea is a unique interactive learning and exhibition space. The centre has been created to support a wide range of students and organisations from a variety of industrial backgrounds to participate in the creative process of generating new ideas. In this space ideas are conceived, nurtured and developed into prototypes that are then tested to establish proof of concept.

UCIT
Ulster Community Investment Trust Ltd (UCIT)
UCIT lend to community organisations, charities and social enterprises, both large and small, located in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In addition to providing finance, UCIT aim to help social enterprises access appropriate business development support.

NISPO Funds
E Synergy Ltd/ Spin Out Funds

The Northern Ireland Spin Out (NISPO) initiatives support start-up and early stage businesses in Northern Ireland. The support includes a £7 million venture capital fund, the Invest Growth Fund, which is provided by Invest Northern Ireland and focuses on seed and early stage businesses with high growth potential. NISPO also includes a £5 million proof of concept fund, the Invest Growth Proof of Concept Fund, which is funded by Invest Northern Ireland to provide funding to very early, non-university projects.

The Network for Enterprising Women
The Network for Enterprising Women covers the Tyrone and Fermanagh region and has over 700 women on their database.  They have monthly networking meetings on Business topics and issue a monthly newsletter. NEW is a networking group for women in the Counties of Fermanagh and Tyrone, Northern Ireland, who;
